PRINTING

WIBL works with three primary printing methods. Flat/Digital printing, Letterpress and Foil press. Digital printing is the printing method included in all the base pricing. Letterpress and Foil are added treatments and are charged per piece they are added to and are priced by quantity and per piece. Treatments can be combined but you are charged for each individual treatment if you do so. We also offer Thermography and embossing—so ask if it’s something you’re interested in!

Digital/Flat Printing:

This is WIBLs standard printing method. Digital printing is a flat print, and can be done in any matte color- this is how we print all the lovely watercolors and other details on many of the designs you see on the website. We work with professional grade printing presses to insure the very best quality!

White Flat Printing:

We can print white ink on darker colored papers, this is most often done on envelopes for addressing, but can also be used on invitations. The colors and paper weights can be a bit more limited with this option and this cannot be mixed with standard digital printing. This is also a flat digital print, meaning it’s not raised off of, or imprinted into the paper. This treatment is priced by quantity

Letterpress:

Letterpress is a classic and timeless printing method using ink in matte colors done in those old-school style printing presses. We can color match to any color. Letterpress is pressed into the paper so you can feel the impression of your text and design when you run your fingers over it. It’s an ink based process using a die we make of your design. Each piece is pressed individually and it’s a classic and lovely look. Pricing for letterpress is dependent on quantities and number of colors and priced per piece you add it to.

Foil Press:

Foil press is a very similar process to letterpress but allows you to have metallic and shiny finishes. Foil is also done in a large press machine, the foil transferred with heat, using a custom die made of your design to press the foil onto the paper. There is a large variety of metallic and shiny color options to choose from, the most common being gold, silver and rose gold. Foil is pressed into the paper so you can feel the impression when you run your fingers over it. Pricing for letterpress is dependent on quantities and priced per piece you add it to

Blind Debossing:

Blind debossing is the same process and price as foil press but without any color. Blind debossing allows us to create an impression pressed into the paper for a tactile feel. Text can be tough to read for some of your guests in this printing method, but is especially lovely for design details like borders, greenery and custom illustrations.

PAPERS

The standard WIBL paper is a 120lb eggshell finish soft white or cream paper—If you want a different colored paper in that weight range, most will be the same price and will incur no additional cost, colored papers can be more limited in their weight and finish options. There are lots of other great upgrades available as well if you want to do something extra special, lux or unique! Pricing is dependent on quantities and design, so please inquire if you’re interested!

Double Thick Papers For Letterpress & Foil:

This is a VERY heavy paper option between 196-220lb (depending on the color). It’s basically as thick as cardboard but with a soft cotton finish. Colors are typically more limited with these options but still come in a variety of finishes and colors

Handmade Paper with Natural Deckled Edge:

This is a handmade cotton paper option with a natural deckled (rough) edge. Handmade paper can be created in a variety of colors, sizes and paper weights. Due to the irregular and handmade quality of this paper, it can only be done with foil or letterpress printing.

Machine Deckled Edge:

This is a GREAT option if you want that natural edge without the premium cost, we can do it on any style and color of paper and with any printing method. This look is created by machine that essentially eats the edges of your paper in a consistent but natural looking way.

Double Thick Papers for Digital Printing:

If you love that SUPER heavy feel to your invitations but also want the watercolor designs with various color options. This is the way to go. They are available in weights anywhere between 180lbs to 270lbs. If you’re looking for an extra p[op of color, these papers can also have a painted edge detail. These papers are available in shades of white, off-white and cream.

INVITE ADD-ONS

WIBL wants to make your life as easy as possible, so we try to offer just about any upgrade, service, or add on you may need to complete your wedding invitation suite and make your planning process easier. Add ons include: Addressed Inner Envelopes, Custom Wax Seals, Vintage Postage, Stickers, and more. Optional services include: Send-Out Service, RSVP numbering, varied package inclusions (of only some of your guests are invited to different events etc) and much more! Please inquire about anything you may want to add on or a service you’re interested in!

Different Versions of Cards:

Very often, Couples will have an event that only some of their guests are invited to- like a Rehearsal, Welcome Party or Brunch. We generally include a separate insert for that event which is charged per piece. But you my want to have a different version of the RSVP for those guests so you can gather replies for that event as well. If you have multiple versions of the RSVPs, or Schedule of event cards or anything along those lines. All we need is a list of who gets which cards so we can stuff your envelopes correctly and double check everything to make sure each guest is getting the pieces they’re supposed to!

Vintage Stamps:

All those lovely colorful vintage stamps you’re seeing in the photos, we can do that for you! We work with a vintage stamp and coin supplier to choose vintage stamps in your theme and color palette that all add up to the correct amount for shipping (and usually a little extra just to be safe! I choose a selection of stamps for you, then we run them through a sticker machine to make sure the backs are all EXTRA sticky so they won’t fall off the envelopes when they’re mailed. Then we put the postage perfectly on each and every envelope. We are always sure to weigh your final invitation at the post office before we purchase the postage as well so we can be sure to have enough. That being said, always weigh them on your end as well before sending them out as different post offices sometimes have different policies.

Wax Seals:

Want to seal up an enclosure or your outer envelope with a wax seal- we can design a custom logo or design for your seal and seal all your envelopes for you. If you’re using them for the outer envelope- we send these to you ready made with your invitation with a peel of sticker on the back for easy sealing.

RSVP Numbering:

Worried about guests not putting their names on your RSVPs? We can number them for you. Though we generally feel that this is completely unnecessary as it nearly never happens- and if it does you can figure out who it is by the process of elimination- we understand that it can bring peace of mind for some and we’re happy to help! We will number the backs of your RSVPs with invisible ink and correspond those numbers with the numbers on your guest list excel sheet. Then we send the pen with the black-light end so you can see the numbers on the back.

Send-Out Service:

If you’re stretched for time and just don’t want to send out the invitations yourself, we can do that for you. We take the final invitation to the post office to have them weighed to determine the correct postage, we then stamp all the envelopes, triple check all the invitations and addresses and send them along to your guests! This generally adds two days to your production time-line but can save you stress and time!
