Hi there!

I'm Caitlin Spaulding, the "creator" and "creative" behind Wouldn't it be Lovely. I'm a designer with a passion for weddings.

I graduated Rhode Island School of Design in 2007 with a degree in Industrial Design, which means I know how to design and build products both big and small.

For 7 years post graduation, I worked in Footwear design, where I was fortunate enough to travel the world while designing kids shoes, learn about how a large company operates, branding and more. About 3 years in to my career in footwear, I planned my own wedding, which is when I realized that there is nothing I enjoy more than designing an event, from the smallest detail to the grandest statement piece. A year after our wedding, I started Wouldn't it be Lovely as a side project, doing projects for friends and family, while continuing to work in footwear. Then, 3 years later, to further explore my love for events, I switched industries to work as the head of style and design for an event company where I created art installations, floral designs, custom design builds, signage and more for weddings, social and corporate events. During that time, I kept working on Wouldn't it be Lovely on the side, where it continued to grow and flourish. after 4 years as a “side gig” In 2016, I realized that Wouldn't it be Lovely had grown enough to be my full time job! So here I am, working with all you lovely people on one of the most joyful and fun days of your lives, I couldn't ask for more!

Wouldn't it be Lovely's studio is based in the Medway Mills out of Medway, Massachusetts, I meet with clients by appointment only, in person or by phone to ensure I’m prepared for your meeting and you have my full attention. Wouldn't it be Lovely is made up of myself, my creative office manger who helps keep all the details strait and is an invitation assembly pro, and a design assistant to help with the ever growing design work.

On a personal note, I live in Wrentham, Massachusetts with my high-school sweetheart turned husband, Chris, our son Charlie, our dog, Truman, an American Mastiff. I love all things design and I am always reinventing our home and anything else I can get my hands on. In my spare time, I love finding new wedding and design inspiration (I can never seem to tear myself away!) and planning our next adventure. We believe that travel leads to all the greatest things and are always happy to hop on a plan to explore a new part of the world.
