Formatting for escort Cards & Place Cards

Here are the excel templates you should use to fill out your guest names so we can print your place cards and escort cards so your guests can find their seats at your wedding! We ask that these be formatted in a specific way so that we can expedite the process and ensure that you get your escort and place cards exactly how we pictured them!

Please use this template to format guest names for your escort cards or place cards

Rules of thumb: PLEASE READ THE DETAILS BELOW- WE WILL ASK YOU TO REFORMAT IF YOUR Guest Names ARE NOT RECEIVED IN THE CORRECT FORMAT

  • Accepted file types: Excel and CSV. Please do not send word, pdf, google sheet or numbers files.

  • DO keep names shorter- keep in mind- escort and place cards are smaller- if you have a formal title, first middle and last names on a card, the text has to be small, which make it harder to read and will make it harder for guests to find their names quickly

  • DO separate two full names- for example “Mr. Charles Lovely” would go in the first column and “Ms. Lucy Sweet” would go in the second column

  • DO use an “&” instead of “and” character count matters on these smaller cards!

  • DO Separate Grouped couple titles into separate columns- For example: “Mr. & Mrs. Christopher McDonald” will not fit across the card, so break it into two columns, put “Mr. & Mrs.” in the first column and “Christopher McDonald” in the second column

  • You can use first names only on place cards or first names and last initials

  • If you are having us print guest names on multiple items, please send us a different excel sheet for each titles accordingly. for example: SmithWeddingEscortCards. and SmithWedding_MenuNames etc

Proofing:

We do not proof your guest names (since there's really no way for us to do that as I don't know your guests :) ). Be sure that all your names are all correct, capitalized properly and that no symbols have been converted oddly in Excel. We proof formatting, but all spelling is your full responsibility.

ADDRESSING SYLES & PRICING

CALLIGRAPHY

Calligraphy guest addressing is done by hand on each individual envelope. We work in a variety of styles and colors so it’s a perfect match to your invitations!

PRINTED ADDRESSING

Printed addressing is a digital print directly on your envelopes and is designed to match the fonts and styles created on your invitations. We can print logos and other fun details on your printed envelopes as well. Printed envelopes include both the guest addressing on the front and the return addresses printed on the back flap. Printed addressing can be done in any color on lighter envelopes and white on darker envelopes.

CALLIGRAPHY AND PRINT COMBO

The best of both worlds! Calligraphy, done by hand for your guest names, and then your guest addresses printed and the return address on the back flap. Great if you’re worried about legibility but love the look of calligraphy. Also great to get a little metallic hit of color on there!
