Custom Designed Gold Foil Letterpress Wedding Invitations

Custon Gold Foil Letterpress wedding invitations

Here they are! I've been dying to do a set of letterpress invitations for I don't know, FOREVER. The benefits? One: you get to use REALLY heavy cotton paper that feels super luxurious, Two: the impression made by the press gives the design this amazing depth and feel, Thee: GOLD FOIL my friends GOLD FOIL, do I need to expand on this? It just looks amazing, photos don't do it justice.

So, when Celia, who's save the dates I hand gilded about six months ago, and I started talking about her invitations, we knew this would be the way to achieve the look she wanted. We carried over some of the design language we had created with the save the dates, but took them up a notch for the invitations, still modern and clean but with some extra flourishes and details that felt hand done. I created a custom stamp for her return address envelope and used gold ink to tie into the rest of the suite. We tied it all together with a black velvet ribbon to add another texture to the whole look.I mean really, look at that detail shot of this sucker! I basically want to do just letterpress for everything now, invites, save the dates, my grocery list, you name it, I'm in.
